Adelaide WWE star Rhea Ripley is "a force to be reckoned with", even The Rock agrees

In the electrifying world of professional wrestling, there exists a force that transcends the boundaries of strength, charisma, and unapologetic attitude – none other than Rhea Ripley. Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, Rhea Ripley, born Demi Bennett on October 11, 1996, the Henley High graduate has not only become a sensation in the WWE but has recently garnered a shout-out from none other than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, adding another layer to her already impressive legacy. Not only is Ripley one of the very few Australians currently signed to the WWE, but she is also the first Adelaidian "Diva" to be signed to the wrestling conglomerate.

Recently making a surprise return on Monday Night RAW - the wrestling equivalent of SNL - Rhea Ripley received accolades from The Rock on social media. Expressing his admiration for her, The Rock highlighted their backstage shenanigans and playfully acknowledged their contrasting styles – "She wears black. I love black. She's a badass. And I got famous for wearing a fanny pack".

She wears black.

I love black.

She’s a bad ass.

And I got famous for wearing a fanny pack.

We had fun f*cking around backstage 😈🥃

Love, appreciate and respect you champ @rhearipley_wwe - thanks for trusting me with your title, keep kickin’ ass and raising the bar 🖤💪🏾

The Rock's shout-out wasn't just a social media gesture; it showcased the camaraderie between two wrestling icons. The Instagram post captured moments of shared laughter and Ripley handing over her title belt, immortalising the genuine connection between these two powerhouses.

Rhea Ripley's journey into the world of sports entertainment began in 2017 when she joined WWE's developmental territory, NXT. She quickly ascended the ranks and secured her place in history by winning the inaugural NXT UK Women's Championship tournament, marking the beginning of her meteoric rise.

Transitioning to the main NXT roster, Ripley made history again by capturing the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, defeating the seasoned Charlotte Flair. This triumph solidified her as a formidable competitor and showcased her ability to dominate on the grandest of stages.

Rhea Ripley isn't just known for her in-ring prowess; she embodies a rebellious persona that challenges stereotypes and inspires a generation of fans. Unafraid to push boundaries, she represents a new era of women's wrestling – authentic, powerful, and unapologetically herself.

Beyond the squared circle, Ripley engages with fans through social media, sharing glimpses of her life, training routines, and empowering messages. Her devoted fanbase, known as the "Rhea Squadron," is a testament to her impact beyond the wrestling arena.

In the fast-paced world of professional wrestling, Rhea Ripley stands tall. She leaves an indelible mark on the industry with a remarkable journey, a shout-out from wrestling legend The Rock, and an unwavering determination to redefine women's wrestling. As she continues to kick ass, raise the bar, and evolve in her career, one thing remains certain – the future of wrestling is undeniably Rhea Ripley.
